Macphail’s 50 Year Old
Nose: Full and complex. Th ere is a refi ned sweetness with
notes of cut hay and wood oil, a green note with sultanas
and dried peels and a little smoke and buttery, gooey toff ee.
Palate: Rich and full. Th ere are notes of sultanas and dry
winter spice, there is a hint of mocchaccino and an earthern
root note with a cigar box sweetness.
Finish: Good length with a hint of peat and a dried fruit
note.

Glenglassaugh 40 Year Old
Nose: An abundance of sweet, syrupy tropical fruits;
banana, pineapple and mango in perfect harmony with
gentle Oloroso sherry.
Palate: Sweet, rich, syrupy and complex. Oloroso sherry,
toff ee apples, mango and banana sit beautifully in the
mouth alongside ginger and cocoa spice.
Finish: Rich, spiced sherry.
