d) Provision of Air Build up switch in DEMU DPCs:

Purpose: To minimise the charging time of MR and BP when at idle rpm in DEMUs.
Benefits: The modification enables -

a) Safety point of view LP now need not operate the master controller for
air charging purpose.
b) Decrease the charging time of MR & BP in DEMU formations from 35
mins to 12 mins.
Cost: Rs. 2000/- per DPC.

e) Integrated Mobile Master Controller Test Kit:

Purpose: This kit is used for directly on loco. To bring down the time and man power
required for troubleshooting of Master Controllers.
Benefits: The modification enables -

a) Decrease the man power and time required for troubleshooting of master
controllers
b) Eliminates time and manpower required for dismounting and mounting on loco
Cost: Rs.18000/-.
