1. IMPORTANT MODIFICATIONS:
 Safety Related Modifications:

DLS/MLY providing Steel Mesh for Lookout Glass of DEMU DPCs to prevent injuries
to Crew due to stone pelting.

 Reliability Related Modifications:
a) DEMU Computerized Mobile Performance tester

Purpose: Load testing of self-propelled Rolling stock

Benefits: This equipment enables the user to check and analyze critical parameters like -
a) Load voltage
b) Load current
c) Fuel oil pressure on load
d) Lube oil pressure on load
e) Engine RPM on load
f) Exhaust gas temperature on load, and
g) Notch wise gross horse power.

Cost: The in house development cost of the equipment is Rs. 7.69 Lakhs
approximately as against about Rs. 18 lakh if purchased.
