Beginning with the 2019 Environmental Summit and moving into 2020, PERC will
educate, create, recruit, and cultivate influential propane ambassadors (thought leaders,
influencers, and decisionmakers) to shape America’s perception of propane as clean
American energy. And, we will integrate thought leadership activities, messages, and
voices gathered from these propane ambassadors to enhance the larger Propane Can
Do That® campaign.

The Industry Relations team will continue building on our engagement efforts with state
entities, propane marketers, and propane professionals to increase usage and execution
of PERC’s resources and programs, allowing us to translate aspirations into tangible
results. Collaboration among PERC’s industry relations, communications, and business
development teams ensure activities are relevant to the industry’s current business
environment, the specifics of the marketplace, and its customers and competition. The
2020 Industry Engagement docket covers outreach expenses for our presence and
participation at state meetings, marketer events, industry conferences, and trade shows,
in order to promote and educate the industry on consumer education efforts, market
development outreach, and safety and training programs. We gained momentum in 2019
by conducting regional meetings and encouraging open dialog with state executives and

their leadership, to discuss opportunities and needs in their regions across all core PERC
functions. Eight regional meetings are planned for 2020. An annual Leadership Summit
for all state executives to network and share best practices with PERC and NPGA staff
is also planned. We plan to continue providing materials for state meetings, local market
outreach events, and consumer education initiatives. This includes working with our
vendors to provide creative and production, as needed. We may consider developing an
engagement tool or dashboard. Workforce outreach to support development and
recruitment will continue in 2020 as we promote existing resources and best practices
from the 2019 pilot grant program. New programs can be created as needed to address
changes in the workforce environment. Additionally, we are interested in hosting a
conference to engage the propane industry and adjacent influencing organizations for
partnerships.
