This proposed funding request supports all Advisory Committee functions as well as the
project administration of several programs. This request will begin Jan. 1, 2020 with a
Project Summary: completion date of Dec. 31, 2020. This docket will be managed by the director, meetings
and events. Key activities will include: logistical support for Advisory Committee
meetings, travel expenses to support program staff coordination unrelated to a specific
project, program budget planning-related expenses, and costs associated with program
staff attending Council meetings.

Project Title: 22215: 2019 Retail Sales Report View Executive Summary

This project includes funding to conduct a survey of the retail propane industry and to
provide a state by state assessment of U.S. odorized propane sales by the end-use
sector. The Propane Education & Research Act of 1996 requires PERC to distribute 20
percent of the funds collected through this assessment to the state propane associations
Project Summary: proportional to the amount of odorized propane gas sold in each state. PERA also
requires PERC to limit the share of total PERC investment in the on-road market to no
more than the share of the total propane market used in the engine fuel market. Currently,
there are no publicly available data sources reporting odorized propane sales by state,
or for the engine fuel markets.
