Page 92 - REACHING ALWAYS FOR MY SECOND ELEMENT
P. 92
Fond memories of my Joyselyn’s reflection watching me. Always had a sweet little smile and sparkle in her
eyes. Sometimes I would turn and catch her in the act. Her smile would widen, and she would say, “My Renaissance
Man.” And I would reply with “My Princess Bride.”
Oh, how we did Love! All the little things, nothing unnoticed by the heart. Sometimes she would apply lipstick to pass
it along to me on my morning cup of coffee. All the sweeteners needed to start the day new. At the evening time, I
would kiss off her Chap-Stick to get even. Never could we become even with our show of love; believe it because we
were equaled, we were One. So much more the heart wanted to share. Rendered us speechless much of the time.
Why can we not recall the sound of our lover’s voice like remembered songs from long ago? All those words, little acts
of love and affection, now memories slipping away.
