“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives
generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because
the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed
by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything
from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in
all they do” (James 1:5-8).
Your discipler will be talking with you about God’s plan for your life.
It’s not a plan that’s strong on specifics. Big stuff, it’s all there—what
to value, how to prioritize, guidance about how to go about making deci-
sions.
But if you’re looking for a step-by-step agenda for next week, you’re
going to be disappointed.
There’s a reason for that lack of detail, and your discipler will talk
about that.
But for now, how do you feel about God not spelling out exactly what
he wants you to do? About living with some ambiguity, some uncertainty?
Is there any upcoming decision that you have to make that you would
like to ask for God’s wisdom in making that decision? Write about the
decision and the wisdom that you need below.
