(Romans 8:28).
So don’t be disappointed if something you thought was God’s will
turns out poorly. God will use it.
3. There’s knowing God’s will…and doing God’s will.
Picture someone asking you for directions and then not following
them. How frustrating would it be if the same person repeatedly asked
and then repeatedly ignored what you said?
We’re a bit like that with God, asking to know his will and then not
doing it. Because it’s one thing to know what to do…and another to actu-
ally do it.
Jesus-followers follow through when God directs them. They submit
themselves to God. They don’t ask and then ignore when God answers.
All of which requires obedience.
“Obedience” gets a bad rap because it’s often pulled out as an
