Session 8:
                              Doing God’s Will

                              The discipler begins this session.

Doing what God wants us to do would be a lot easier if
God just told us what to do, right?
It’s not like God doesn’t know how to give specific

instructions. He handed Noah blueprints for building an ark and literally
            dictated the Ten Commandments.
But when you ask for guidance about buying a car, switching jobs, or
            picking a college, you hear…nothing.
There’s no burning bush, no direction-filled dream, not a whisper.
Is God being silent, or are you just missing something?
In this session we will explore how to discern God’s will. And here’s a

spoiler alert: It’s not a matter of receiving orders from HQ to follow to the
            letter.
It’s more about picking your way along a narrow path, tracking
along behind Jesus. He’ll lead you where you need to go—if you trust him
            enough to follow him.
Knowing God’s will begins and ends with this: relationship.

                              The discipler asks the following.

                              A Brief Pause

Take a deep breath. Pause before diving into this hour
to ask: Is there anything holding you back from being
fully present? From listening and participating fully?
If something’s in the way—let’s pray together about it now, before we
            go further.
