Ring finger: Personal needs
What decisions do you need to make? What are ongoing tensions
you’re managing? Talk with God about those, making sure to listen as well
as speak. Ask God for five personal needs.

                Pinky finger: Kingdom
God’s doing things in the world, and you’ll want to be a part of it. Ask
him how he might want to use you, where he might be leading. Pray for
your church and church leaders. This is your final five—try asking for items
            that require faith.

Add anything else you’d like to add, but “praying the fives” will help
you focus beyond your own narrow concerns. You’ll be praying for others,
and make yourself open to God’s nudges toward helping where he wants
            you to help.

                                            Both pray together.

How can I pray for you?
You and your discipler have just talked
                                            a great deal about prayer.
So pause to pray—and pray specifically.

Why don’t you both try “praying the fives” together. Go back and forth. The
discipler gives five items of praise and then the disciple does the same. Continue
            through the fives.

                                            Both commit to memorizing these
                                            passages.

                                            Heart and Mind

                                            There’s great value planting God’s
Word deep into your heart and mind.

                Consider memorizing these passages:

                                                                             91
