Session 6:
                                    Fellowship

                              The discipler begins this session.

As a follower of Jesus, you’ve been called into relation-
ship. A relationship with God and a relationship with
                              his people.

The Apostle Paul put it this way:

“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these
members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though
many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others”
                (Romans 12:4-5).

Just like Jesus’ first dozen disciples, you’re expected to live out your

faith in community. Not only is that healthy for you, but the quality of your
relationships with other Jesus-followers is a testimony to the transforming
            power of God’s love.
                So the question isn’t whether you’ll be part of a faith community;
            that’s a given.
The question is what that community looks like—and where you fit in.
As you and your discipler talk about that this session, be open to hearing
            from Jesus.
Somewhere there’s a faith community that you’re called into; they

need you, and you need them.

                              The discipler asks the following.

                              A Brief Pause
Before digging into today’s session, let’s pause to
consider if there’s something in the way of your ability
                              to concentrate right now.

                                                                             97
