                        day to day operations of the hotel, usually on a long term basis;
                        and  3)  Franchise/Chains.  Franchises  and  chains  are  often
                        assumed  to  be  the  same  thing.  Chains  are  owned  and  run  by
                        corporations. In these instances, the corporation owns the rights
                        to the brand and all services & standards are regulated according
                        to a corporate policy. Franchises on the other hand are operated
                        by  individual  business  owners  who  have  bought  the  rights  to
                        operate under the broader brand name.

                        Levels of services/facilities in a hotel

                        The  hotel  level  of  service  classification  can  be  broken  up  into
                        three main categories: luxury, mid range and budget. 1) Luxury.
                        Sometimes  referred  to  as  ‘world-class  service,’  these  types  of
                        hotel accommodation offer a luxurious experience for those who
                        can afford to pay for it. The hotel offers world class facilities with
                        highest standard services; 2)   Mid-  Market/Mid-  Range  Service
                        Hotel has lower facilities and services than world class services
                        hotel. The guests that usually stay in this hotel are family guest or
                        traveller; and 3) Budget/Economy Hotel has the lowest facilities
                        and  services  among  world  class  hotel  and  mid-range  service
                        hotel. Nevertheless, this hotel still has clean, comfortable rooms,
                        in  room  telephone,  and  channelled  music  and  movies,  coffee
                        shop, and a multi cuisine restaurant

                        Target

                        Target  refers  to  the  classification  of  hotels  based  on  the  target
                        audience  the  hotel  is  designed  for.  Hotel  type  based  on  target
                        market is classified into five types, namely: 1) Commercial hotel
                        is  hotel  that  is  located  in  the  centre  of  city  which  is  in  busy
                        commercial areas. The target of this hotel is mostly businessmen;
                        2)     Convention  hotel  is  hotel  that  offers  large  convention
                        complex  for  the  guest  who  will  attend  and  join  convention  or
                        conference;  3)  Resort  hotel  is  hotel  that  offers  the  variety  of
