hadn't had time to kill James before the next day's sun
rose, his body began to smoke and a transparent
shadow flew out of Thomas' body. It seemed to char
and screamed in pain. James rushed towards Thomas
and saw his inert body. Kate and James went to get
help, but when they came back the body was gone.
James and Kate went to Thomas' house to warn the
parents, but to their surprise, it was Thomas who
opened the door for them. He told them that he
couldn't remember anything and that he had woken
up in the forest without understanding how he had
got there, next to him he had found only one thing, a
feather. When he showed them, James and Kate saw
that this feather was red and gold.
