more noise. But Charlie had heard Kate, he turned
around and when he saw James and Kate exclaimed
in jealousy,

“Thomas! Look, they're off on a romantic getaway!
Thomas turned around, first he saw James and Kate,
then the phoenix, and understood immediately. With
a roar of rage, he took a knife out of his pocket, threw
it at James, but missed him. The knife went into
Kate's shoulder. Thomas ran like a wolf towards
James with astonishing speed, jumped on him and
devoured his throat.

James awoke again to the sound of his
mother's voice, had trouble opening his eyes and
almost fainted from the pain and weakness he felt.
He wanted to move, but his body parts were not
following the orders of his brain. He removed the
book that was hurting his hip and collapsed back into
bed. His phone rang, he groped him, eyes closed and
answered it. It was Kate as before, but James was
surprised to hear that she didn't say the same thing
as usual. She told him that it seemed to her that she
had had a dream in which a knife had been stuck in
her shoulder and this morning she had discovered
