“Are you sure?" tried James in a last hope.

“Look at that coward!” says Charlie giggling.

“Charlie, we may be in great danger, now is not the
time for mutual criticism. James sliced dryly. “Let's
move on then.”

They advanced quietly to a small cave which they
entered suspiciously. James saw a crevice not far
from the entrance, when he tried to see how deep it
was, he felt someone push him and fell to the bottom.
When he landed, he felt his knife slide a little further,
he tried to pick it up by feel in the dark as he heard
Thomas's voice shouting,

“James has fallen down, wait, I'll get him, it doesn't
sound deep!” James heard someone landing not far
from him as he grabbed his knife. He turned towards
Thomas who grabbed him by the throat, lifted him
up and pressed him against the wall. James stuck his
knife into Thomas' chest but not a drop of blood came
out, instead Thomas smiled and said,

“You really thought you could kill me like
that?” He then laughed with a cold and humorless
laugh.
