communicate. They were now walking along a
narrow path. Next to that path was a ravine. James
was elbowed in the rib, when he turned towards Kate
she pointed across the path, the phoenix was there.
James realized that this situation was their only
chance, so he motioned to Kate who started to run
towards the bird, pushed Thomas into the ravine and
was about to follow Kate when:

“Aaah no no no, you will not isolate yourself with
Kate!” Charlie was holding James by the arm. James
then did something he had wanted to do for a long
time, he hit Charlie in the face with all his might.
Charlie released his grip and James was able to run
towards Kate. But Thomas had had time to get up
while Charlie was holding James, so he ran after
James. James grabbed Kate's hand, and thanks to the
phoenix whose tail she was holding, they teleported.
Thomas had stretched out his arm and was only
inches away from James when he disappeared.
Thomas gave an angry roar that echoed through the
forest.

The phoenix had carried James and Kate to a cave a
little further away, overlooking the forest. James
collapsed to the ground and couldn't move, his
