“Oh, th.. thank you for asking after him. He grows up
very fast but he always argues with his sister Kate…
She has her mum's character”, responded M. Stuart.
“You are very fortunate to have children, my dear.
They bring happiness and vivacity to your life. I… I
feel very alone since Elizabeth’s death … So... Would
you mind coming for dinner tonight with your
family? I will send a carriage to bring you to my
manor.”
“Oh, it’s a pleasure. Thank you”.
M. Seward settled for a little smile. He opened
suddenly the thick black curtains and a very small
light filtered through the dripping window. He
looked M. Stuart and it seemed his eyes were as black
as the naught:
“You are back home now”, said Edward when the
carriage stopped. “My coachman will pick you at 8
pm. See you soon”. At this moment, a storm lit up the
black sky with a loud noise.
