Edward was pointing his finger to a little statue. It
               was very small, but its eyes differed from the rest of
               the body. They were very black, in the same way as
               those of M. Seward. The colour was so penetrant that
               it was as if they were alive...

               Miss  Stuart,  delighted  to  be  part  of  a  dinner  in  a
               beautiful manor and pressed to tell all this evening to
               her friends who would surely be jealous, looked at
               the statue.

               “I brought back from a trip in Asia. The artisan made
               it for me and…”

               “Oh!  She  looks  like  a  princess”,  said  with  a  lot  of
               enthusiasm Kate.

               “Kate! Do not interrupt M. Seward”, said Miss Stuart,
               looking at his daughter with a severe expression.

               “Oh, that doesn’t matter. She is a little girl and I was
               like her when I was a child”.



               Suddenly, the door opened and a man, certainly a
               household  given  that  he  was  wearing  a  black
               uniform and a black veil, said: “I am terribly sorry to
               interrupt  you,  sir.  But  a  man  is  wondering  if  he
