scared. Edward’s attitude was very peculiar and
inexplicable. On the other hand, he usually worked
hard to have things and on principle, he could not
accept this house without doing anything.
However… his family and him were living in a very
tiny flat in an unhealthy neighbourhood, and he
wanted to offer to his children and his wife a better
life than this one… Speaking about his wife, she was
willing internally that her husband would accept this
very generous proposition. She will live the life she
always wanted : to be in good living conditions, to
enjoy the life going to balls, organizing evenings with
elegant people from the upper class instead of the old
poor Maria, her next-door neighbour.

“I know, you can get embarrassed by this
proposition. But...To my mind, you can see it like a
favour you will do to me. I need to leave this place to
unwind in my homeland and try to make a fresh start
after my wife’s death. I miss her so much...”, said M.
