carefully at it, he noticed there were neither blood
traces nor traces of utilization. Nothing as if the tool
had never been used. But his eyes had properly
observed. He was not crazy, this was real.
“Sir, is everything all right? You are bleeding”,
noticed unemotionally the servant.
“Call Marguerite, I think I will need a bandage”,
instructed M. Stuart looking at the garden, terrified.
The evening, M. Stuart was just as preoccupied by
those eerie facts. He re-enacted the actions and
incrementally, he became sure that what he had seen
was not an effect of his imagination. His injury was
the proof. But why? Why did this… this invisible
thing do that? What did it want?
“Dad” said a voice.
Without looking up, he said indifferently: “Yes ?”
