n	 the focus is on getting to know people before jumping to conclusions
n	 objective actions are taken, but on the basis of understanding people’s

    capabilities
n	 expectations are set for how people should behave with each other
n	 time is invested in people.
At senior level in particular, where time is spent provides a very good measure
of an individual’s orientation in terms of task, thought and people, so signalling
that you make time for people sends an important message.
