                                                    People competencies are highly prized and will be assessed by what you
                                                    say and how you say it (see Chapter 3). Bear the following in mind as you
                                                    prepare to respond to people-based questions:
                                                    n	 Make sure that you can recognise when the interviewer is focusing on

                                                        the people domain.
                                                    n	 Showing high-level people competencies is about showing that you

                                                        have the emotional intelligence to work well with and through people,
                                                        getting the best from them.
                                                    n	 Think of examples of ‘difficult’ interpersonal situations or relationships
                                                        you have encountered; this is a common area of questioning.
                                                    n	 Show that you can think companywide and long term, in terms of the
                                                        people domain.
