because your preparation was less for just one mark. If the cut-off
would have been higher you would have failed by more marks.
If you have missed the cut off by one mark then this doesn’t mean

that your preparation was excellent and that you can blame it on bad
luck. It means that your preparation was poor and it’s just a
coincidence that you secured one mark less than the cut-off. If you
had scored 51 marks then would you have said that you were lucky
to clear the cut off by 1 mark? No, you would have felt that it was
your right to clear the cut off. The fault is in your preparation. As
Benjamin Franklin has said,” By failing to prepare, you are preparing
to fail.” People take credit for their success but make excuses for

failures. Accept your triumphs and failures. Don’t let the fear of failing
                hold you back.
Whenever the cut-off is less and we miss out by one or two marks
then we tend to convince ourselves that our preparation was good.
“The only real mistake is the one from which we learn

                nothing.” - Henry Ford
May the fear of failure never stop you from turning your dream into
reality. May your failures become ‘stepping stones to success.’
