Having the Right Perception and a Calm Mind

It is very important for you to know the qualities and behavior of an
ideal student. This would help you to set standards, compare and
improve yourself. By doing this you will be able to determine how far
behind you are and the qualities that you must inculcate.
The first quality is to have the right attitude. You must have the right
approach and mindset to learn anything. This is one quality which
can take you far ahead in your career. Those who lack the right
mindset and attitude, fail miserably in many spheres. A lot of
students do not study enough, and still get egoistic that they have
read a lot and know a lot. Their ego is visible in their attitude and
behavior. Eventually, it is their ego which drags them down. A
student's fall begins the moment he starts thinking that he knows
everything. Remember: Whenever you get in touch with your guru,
you have to approach him like an empty slate so that he can write
something on it.
Many a time I have seen that, some students are so full of
themselves that they start believing that they know everything and
there is no one on earth who can teach them something new. These
students attend classes with an attitude which says that they are not
there to learn but to pick the mistakes made by the teacher and
teach the teacher.
I have come across such students in my digital videos as well.
Whenever I have a slip of tongue, I get to see two separate kind of
comments. Type 1: “Sir, I am sorry, but whatever you told us has
changed. Could you please verify it once?”, “Sir, whatever you have
