and what they lacked and they try to work hard the next time. But for
those in the first category, I have a question- Do you really believe in
what you say? How do you determine the exact amount of hard work
you are required to do?
It is possible that the hard work that you have done is enough
according to you. But in reality, it is still less than what is actually
required. A student may still say, that it is not possible that he lacks
in his efforts and he has done enough hard work. How do you solve
this riddle? This is not easy to solve. But I have a method through
which you will be able to figure out the right amount of hard work that
you have to do. This will help you to meet your targets and make
your future better.
Before you start preparing for an examination and set a schedule or
routine for that, you must first decide on the examination that you are
going to write. Please concentrate on one examination at a time. If
the syllabus of two separate examinations are 75 per cent similar,
then you must prepare to appear in both the examinations. You must
first figure out the amount of hard work that is required to achieve
what you want. If you want to join police force, or become an IAS
officer, or work in a bank, or become a soldier in the armed forces
then you must know about the daily life a person who is already
there, in the service of your choice.
A lie which has always been told to you is that your life becomes
easier and comfortable once you achieve your targets. You must
th
have heard in school “if you score well in your 10 board exams,
th
your life will be set” and after that in 12 , “score well in 12 board
th
and then you have nothing to worry”. And then: “Complete your
graduation or even study beyond that, life will be set.” Now people
must be saying you, “clear this competitive exam and you will have
no worries whatsoever”. You have to remember that life never gets
‘set’ after appearing for all these examinations—challenges and
tough situations always keep coming. When people get a job, they
remember their preparation days, they keep going back to school
and college days and recall the carefree days, a life without any
