Abstract
Thiis work examines the influence of the Pythagorean community on the development of Greek mathematics, its philosophical principles,
and its enduring legacy. It begins with an introduction to the community, highlighting its origin in Samos and the founding of a secret
society in Crotona. Pythagorean numerology is presented as fundamental to their worldview, where numbers are forces that govern the
universe. Additionally, the connection between music and mathematics is discussed, emphasizing the idea of cosmic harmony. Finally,

a more structured mathematics, bridging Eastern intuition with Western rigor.
