ABSTRACT


                    Edi Supriyanto. The Application  of Guided Training Model to Improve Teacher Skills
                    in Application of Active, Creative, Effective, and Fun (Active Learning) in SMAN 17
                    Pandeglang in 2010.



                    Educational Action Research is motivated by the lack of teacher skills in the application
                    of  Active  Learning in SMAN 17 Pandeglang. Most  ( 85%) of  teachers  in SMAN 17
                    Pandeglang not apply active learning to reason they  have  not  received  training active
                    learning. Formulation  of  the  problem of  this  research is  how the  effectiveness
                    of training  activities  conducted  guided principals  to increase  teachers' skills in  the
                    application  of  active  learning  in SMAN 17  Pandeglang?  This action research aims  to
                    determine the  effectiveness  of training  activities  conducted guided principals to
                    improving teachers'     skills in     the     application      of active     learning
                    in SMAN 17 Pandeglang. School action research     was    conducted in   SMAN      17
                    Pandeglang in    September until November 2010     with six   research   subjects are
                    divided into the teacher for 3 cycles. From the school of action research is concluded: 1)
                    The  application  of guided training has  increased the  understanding  and skills
                    of teachers SMAN 17 Pandeglang on  the  Application  of active  learning, 2) The
                    analysis showed       that more supervised training      activities give     teachers
                    additional knowledge about active  learning, while improving  the  skills  teachers in  the
                    implementation  of more active learning gained through  instruction  and  practice in  the
                    classroom. 3) This    means that,    guided training is   conducted the     principal
                    has a sufficiently  high effectiveness  to increase teachers'  skills in  the  application
                    of active learning in SMAN17 Pandeglang.
