1.5 DECENCY IN WORDS AND ACTIONS
SISC would like to maintain the academic atmosphere within and around its premises.
The school also recognizes that genuine feelings of affection may exist between two
students. However, students should refrain from all public display of affection (PDA)
while on campus or when attending/ participating in a school-sanctioned activity like
cultural show, JS Prom, Outdoor Educational Program (OEP), the Comprehensive
Growth Series (CGS) and the like.
Being overly affectionate at school is unacceptable and can be offensive. The
expression of feelings toward one another is a personal matter between the two
individuals. Therefore, it SHOULD NOT be shared with others in places/ areas such as
the open court, cafeteria, library, solar tents, corridors/ hallways, and other places
including venues for school sanctioned activities. PDA includes any physical contact
like which makes others in close proximity uncomfortable or serves as a distraction for
themselves as well as other people in the school-community.
Examples of PDA include but are not limited to bussing, kissing, hugging embracing,
and acts of lasciviousness.
SISC expects and encourages the students to be respectful at all times. Therefore,
students are expected to:
Speak the truth at all times and with tact
Refrain from cursing, cussing, or shouting
Should not make obscene gestures or insulting gestures
Refrain from making rude comments real time or cyber against another
student, teacher, or any other member of the school-community
