The afternoon session was started by welcoming the participants from the Philippines
and from other countries. An ice breaker “Knock, Knock, Who’s There” was led by Dr. Rene E.
Aligonero, the program head of Southville Institute of Tourism, to spice up the event. After
setting the energy of the participants, six (6) clusters for different fields of research were
opened and participants were asked to proceed to their respective cluster of choice. Cluster A
focused on the research about Good Health and Well-Being which was facilitated by Ms. Diana
Imperio and Dean Carmelita A. Villegas, cluster B was about Quality Education which was
facilitated by Ms. Ma. Elena Ibañez and Ms. Kristen D. Gabutero, cluster C was about Decent
Work and Economic Growth, cluster D focused on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
which has 2 groups, Dr. Victor Mangubat and Dr. Aris Ignacio led the group 1, while Dr.
Roberte Noberte and Ms. Marie Mirando facilitated for group 2. Lastly, cluster E discussed
Sustainable Cities and Communities which was facilitated by Ms. Carol Pido and Dr.Nancy L.
De Guia.
Each researcher was given the chance to present and discuss his or her topic. After the
discussion, participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and clarifications
regarding the research. There were a total of 4 presenters in each cluster and each of them
were given the certificate of appreciation for participating in the said event. After the parallel
sessions, participants returned to the main session for the plenary session. The resource
speaker for the afternoon was Dr. Szekee Koh, an associate of Singapore Institute of
Technology, who was introduced by Dr. Henly S. Pahilagao, program head of school of
accountancy. Dr. Szekee Koh, shared his research on SDG No.8- Decent Work and Economic
Growth: Fostering Sustainable and Economic Growth and an e- certification of appreciation
was given to him for spending his valuable time and knowledge to educate the attendees of the
conference. Dr. Victor Manabat ended the session with his insights regarding Management of
Learning.
