BACKGROUND
Historic Milestones
Moving out to Armadale in 2007,
at the invite of the local
Community Regeneration Team,
was another major step for us, as
it was our first service outside of
Broxburn. The project grew in
response to local need and
evolved into what became the
Dale Hub
Our first conference in 2008 opened a whole new door for us to move onto a national
stage and share our passion and expertise. Initially indoors and in a traditional
conference format, it soon evolved into an immersive play experience, led by staff,
outdoors as well as inside, with a dress-up theme and 120 places selling out almost
immediately. It sure creates a real buzz.
The Family Centre’s big 21 Anniversary event was a film premiere and awards at the
st
Regal Theatre. This was at a time of crisis within the OOSC sector, and we so
impressed the then Director of Education, that we were asked to come up with a
solution for West Lothian.
