BACKGROUND
Historic Milestones
The result from the above was setting up Simply Play in 2010, which was a whole new
ball game and a very steep learning curve for us. Transferring ownership of disparate,
failing services, TUPEing dozens of staff and doubling the size of our organisation,
wasn't without its challenges but it secured a future for SACC across West Lothian.
We successfully navigated the pandemic (blood, sweat and tears) to ensure the
survival of Simply Play and support for vulnerable families.
Wonder Woods was West Lothian’s first ever outdoor nursery and has changed the
way we deliver, and the perception of, outdoor play. It has been a great success.
Rebranding recently to Play Works has really captured who we are and what we do: it
is not only a name but also a statement!
