Children may require medication to be administered:
Short term to treat a specific condition (such as finishing a in nature

        course of antibiotics).
Long term (to treat conditions such as asthma).
In an emergency (to treat conditions such as epilepsy).

It is important that medication is included in any overall
assessment of the child's needs, and that appropriate support
with medication is included in care plans.

Our Medication Policy and the Care Inspectorate
‘Management of Medication in Daycare of Children’ document
provides guidance on administration, storage and record
    keeping.

    Infection Control
We take infection control very seriously and follow all official
guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment for
    everyone.

For detailed information on how we manage infection
prevention and control in our setting, we follow national
guidance provided by Public Health Scotland, Care
    Inspectorate and NHS.

These documents are available online and form the basis of
    our infection control practices.
