        Tuition Reimbursement


        You must be in good standing with the company and request tuition reimbursement
        prior to the start of each semester. You must also gain approval from your department
        head (VP) or District Manager and the Benefits Department. Full-time Corporate,
        Distribution  Center  Associates  and  Store  Managers  are  eligible  for  this  benefit,
        after fulfilling service requirements. Please contact the Benefits Department for
        additional information.

        Once approved for tuition reimbursement, you will be reimbursed for courses taken in
        accredited undergraduate or graduate colleges/universities. The courses must be
        business/function related for the pursuit of a degree, and must be a direct benefit to
        AEO. This benefit will be approved on an individual basis per semester. Reimbursement
        will be issued for tuition fees and books for course work passed with a “B” grade or above.               BUDGET

        Tuition reimbursement amounts vary between $5,250 and $7,000 annually, based
        on your position in the company. $5,250 is the maximum amount of reimbursement
        allowed by the IRS on a non-taxable basis; any amounts exceeding $5,250 are
        considered to be taxable income and will be subject to all local, state and federal
        taxes. Please contact the Benefits Department to request an application.

        NY City & San Francisco Bay Area

        Associates Only


        The Commuter Benefits Program allows Associates in NY City (5 mandatory
        boroughs) and San Francisco to pay for eligible commuting costs through automatic,
        pre-tax payroll deductions. All it takes is a quick online order to get your transit pass
        delivered to your home every month and set up automatic monthly parking
        payments direct to your provider. Any Associate working 20 hours or more per week is
        eligible for this benefit. This program is administered by Health Equity / WageWorks.

        How It Works
        Saving is simple. Just go online to the AEO Benefitfocus portal through AEO2GO, Nest,
        or at https://aeobenefits.hrintouch.com or www.wageworks.com, choose your transit
        pass, parking provider, or both, and the rest is automatic. The program sets aside a
        portion of your paycheck before taxes are deducted, and Health Equity / WageWorks
        uses it to pay your commuting expenses. You see your savings in the form of reduced
        tax withholding. The more you spend, the more you can save on your taxes — up to
        approximately $800 each year! Commuter benefit participants can also purchase
        transit passes and commuter products for family members and dependents.
