Claims under this benefit are paid from the general assets of the Washington Nationals. The
Washington Nationals has retained the Standard Insurance Company to act on its behalf as
Claims Administrator with respect to all claims for benefits. The Standard will receive,
process, investigate, and evaluate claims for benefits; make initial decisions to approve, deny
or close claims for benefits; and review and decide appeals in accordance with the appeals
process described in the benefits booklet.
No action at law or in equity may be brought until 60 days after you have submitted proof of
loss. No such action may be brought more than three years after the earlier of:
1. The date the Standard receives proof of loss; and
2. The time within which proof of loss is required to be given.
