9.1.10. Synchronizing Changes
When settings are changed in the Settings View (refer to 9.1.9 for details), the modified
settings need to be uploaded to the monitor before they will take effect:
• Until the new Alert thresholds are uploaded the monitor will continue to Trigger
Archives and/or assert the Alert relay based on the old values.
• Until the new frequency cutoffs are uploaded the monitor will continue to analyze
data using the old frequency cutoffs.
To upload the changes, press the ‘Synchronize’ button above the ribbon in EVView.
This will connect to the monitor and upload the changes.

Note:
If a connection to the monitor is not currently available, the settings
can be saved in the database for uploading later; on closing EVView,
the application will ask if you wish to upload the changes now, save
them in the database for uploading them later, or discard the changes.
EVView will continue to remind you that changes are pending for
upload whenever the application is closed until they are uploaded.
9.1.11. Single-Shot Measurements
Single-shot measurements are used to force a measurement to be taken and saved in
the database. This is particularly handy when troubleshooting.
To perform a single-shot measurement, press the ‘Perform Measurement’ button above
the ribbon in EVView. This will:
• Connect to the monitor and synchronize any changes.
• Perform a measurement
• Download the results and save them in the database.
