Figure 9-19 Set Single Alert Threshold
• Select the axis for which you want to set the Alert threshold.
• Select the Summary Number for which you want to set the Alert threshold.
• The value of the Summary Number and axis selected for the selected measurement
will be shown. For example, in Figure 9-19 above, the Overall Acceleration of axis
2
PL Slot 42-R of the selected measurement is 50.05 m/s .
• Enter the Alert Thresholds to be used for the data analysis in the Moderate, High
and Very-High text boxes. Be sure to press ‘Enter’ after entering each number.
Note:
Different monitors have different Alert capabilities.
Refer to the User Manual for the specific monitors for details on the
Alert operation.
Note:
Most of the Alert thresholds can be disabled by setting the values to
0. The 2f Amplitude Displacement Alerts cannot be disabled; ‘0’ is
considered a valid Alert threshold for 2f Displacement Alerts.
Note:
When setting Alert thresholds, be sure to set all three; Moderate, High
and Very-High.
Using the axis and Summary Number selection is a convenient way to change a single
Alert threshold, but sometimes you may want to change multiple Alert thresholds, and the
single selection method would be cumbersome. To change multiple Alert thresholds, press
the Alert configuration button in the Sensor Specific Information section to open a dialog
where multiple thresholds can be easily changed:
