Installation



              5.7.  EOD Box Check

                        When connecting the EV card to an EOD box, it is a good idea to verify that the EOD’s are
                     properly calibrated.  Refer to the EOD Box Manual and Installation Guide for details.

              5.8.  EV Sensor Connections

                        The  GuardII+  EV  sensor  inputs  are  connected  to  the  terminal  blocks  inside  the  EOD
                     box(es)  with  twisted  pair  jumper  cables;  a  set  of  cables  are  provided  in  the  EV  sensor
                     installation kit.  The number of EODs inside the EOD box will vary from site to site, and multiple
                     EOD boxes may be required depending on the physical limitations of the installation and the
                     number of EV sensors; a single EOD box can support up to 17 sensors.

                        When connecting the EOD box to the EV card, it doesn’t really matter which EOD (and
                     therefore which sensor) is connected to which input; however, there are two important things
                     to keep in mind:
