              8.3. Monitoring EV Summary Numbers
In GuardII+ the Modbus data provides an indication of the severity of vibration on the
machine. However, there are conditions where this is not possible, such as:
                        • The initial measurement cycle after booting up has not completed yet.

                        • The input signal is clipped.
                        • There was a hardware failure.
If any of the above conditions occur, the measurement results will not be valid. To know
if the measurement results is valid, the measurement status for each input must be checked.
If the measurement status is reported as “1”, then the measurement results for that channel
                     are correct.
                                     NOTE:
If the measurement status is consistently showing a value other than “1”,
this may indicate a problem. Refer to Section 7 for troubleshooting
instructions and/or consult Iris Power LP Technical Support for assistance.
