21st Century. It would be great if this pandemic turned
out to be just as imaginary as the novel “1984.” But that
will never be.

By the time this book has reached your hands,
the number of confirmed cases worldwide, as well as
the number of deaths, may have already grown beyond
human imagination. I hope I’m wrong.
Honestly, my hope and prayer are by the time this
book hits Amazon, Barnes & Noble or the store shelves,
a cure will have been discovered to cause my statements
here to be as invalid and unfounded as Orson Wells’
predictions for 1984. In this particular case, I would
rather be absolutely wrong than to be absolutely right.

At this time I would like to explain viruses in general.
But before we continue, I should qualify my position. I
realize that my job (here) isn’t to give you a crash course
on viruses. However, I firmly believe when anything has
the capacity to destroy an earthly civilization, we should
know something about it.

*Important Note:
The remainder of this chapter gives in-depth
information on the nature of viruses in general. If you
have no desire to understand viruses and how they are
structured… no problem. That’s okay.

*Simply skip the rest of this chapter, and proceed
directly to Chapter Six (6). This will not affect your
outcome with this book. You’ll be just fine. However, if
you are interested in knowing how viruses work, please
continue with this chapter.
