After Judas’ betrayal, when the soldiers came to
apprehend Him, Peter drew his sword to fight them off.
Jesus told Peter to put his sword away. His knew his own
death was necessary.
As with all of us, Judas was granted free-will to
choose right from wrong. But of course, God saw the vile
in Judas before Judas was even born. Someone had to
betray Him. Judas was that someone. Here’s what Jesus
said about Judas:
“For the Son of Man must die, as the Scriptures
declared long ago. But how terrible it will be for the one
who betrays him. It would be far better for that man if
he had never been born!”
Matthew 26:24 (NLT)
In God’s master plan of redemption—
Judas Iscariot was indeed… Collateral Damage!
