The CPD officers who approached and shot Tamir
Rice were both trained to maintain a safe distance until
the suspect was on the ground with his weapon visible
and away from his body. At that point, one officer would
approach the suspect while the other officer held his
service weapon trained on the suspect until he was
clearly handcuffed and in police custody.
In Cleveland, Ohio the life of an innocent young
child was snuffed out. While in Waco Texas, twenty-five
(25) young and innocent children were killed because of,
what might have been the poor judgment on the part of
others. The actual number of children dead is twenty-
seven (27) if (like me) you count the two unborn babies
who were still nestled away in their mothers’ wombs.
—It’s All Collateral Damage!
When Collateral Damage Is The Result Civilian Power—
In the corporate world, and the political world
alike, it isn’t uncommon to scapegoat. This means if a
corporate or political leader is guilty of wrongdoing,
she finds an innocent person to take the blame for her.
Of course at this level, whoever takes the fall is usually
destroyed and finished in business or politics.
Sometimes the fall guy fully understands what he’s
getting himself into. In other situations, the sacrifice
is forced upon him. If he could do something about it
he would, but they know he doesn’t have the resources
to fight these corporate or political giants through due
process. And even if he tried to fight back, they would
destroy him through “terrorism by litigation.”
Collateral Damage!— All of It.
