Orson Wells (who was born George Orwells) a
Kenosha, Wisconsin (USA) native who was born on May
6, 1915 wrote the 1949 novel ”1984” in the aftermath of
World War II, during tense and shifting political climates.
The novel depicts a dystopian future in which the citizens
of Oceania live in misery, under constant surveillance.
The problem with writing about the future is you
can be easily proven wrong. Orson Wells was deemed
brilliant for his fictional depiction of a futuristic society.
But, when the year 1984 actually arrived, he could have
also been declared an erroneous fool.

As the year of 1984 approached, I’m sure Orson
Wells was relieved to be able to see and confirm that his
fictitious prediction was just that… fiction! Oddly, he
lived just (barely) long enough to see the year of 1984
come and go. Orson Wells died on October 10, 1985 In Los
          Angeles, California (USA).

Deadliest 21St Century Plague To Hit The U.S.—
When the new novel coronavirus disease spread
rapidly around throughout world, it was officially
declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization
(WHO) on March 11, 2020. By then, millions of people
had already been infected and the death toll had risen to
well over 171,000 souls. I suspect that things will never
go back to what we call normal. The world as we know it,
          may be over.

Unmistakably, the new modern times COVID pales
in comparison to other past plagues that have caused
much devastation throughout the world. However, for
those in the United States and many other countries, the
coronavirus might be their deadliest nightmare of the
