P. 91
“Every person is to be in subjection to the governing
authorities. For there is no authority except from God,
and those which exist are established by God.”
Romans 13:1 (NASB)
What Should We Do In The Midst Of Uncertainty?—
First of all, learn to be thankful in all situations.
Trials and tribulations will come our way, but God is
always in control.
“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)
Of course you should be grateful, but being grateful
in the midst of trials does not mean that Christians are
to be passionless or numb. Being thankful doesn’t mean
that believers don’t feel emotion or pain.
“To those who have sorrow in Zion I will give them a
crown of beauty instead of ashes. I will give them the oil of
joy instead of sorrow,
and a spirit of praise instead of a spirit of no hope. Then
they will be called oaks that are right with God, planted by
the Lord, that He may be honored.”
Isaiah 61:3 (NLV)
Sometimes, praise is necessary when you are
hurting and suffering. Just as we must know He is always
here for us, we must also know, we are safe in His hands.
Quarantine is a great time to tighten your
connection with God. Spend time in prayer and Bible
study; even fasting and consecration. Take advantage
of the opportunity that God provides for you to bless or
encourage someone else.
