Towards Better Compaction
In addition to Tasport’s standard PPE
requirements, a risk assessment may
indicate the need to use suitable respiratory
protective equipment (refer to AS/NZS
17:15 Selection, use and maintenance of
respiratory protective devices).
You must wear your personal protective
equipment and, if you are unsure of what is
required, immediately seek advice from
your supervisor.
Entry permits
Entry permits are a formal check of a proposed safety system before anyone can enter a confined
space and you must complete them following with the relevant Tasports SOP. You must display the
confined space entry permit in a prominent place and keep it in place until you finish the work.
Remember, potential confined spaces may not be marked as such!
The lower chute on the Burnie Jet Slinger is a
confined space.
