Prommashkomplekt in Kazakhstan offered a

new model of railway wheels

Prommashkomplekt plant (Ekibastuz, Kazakhstan)
received a certificate of compliance with the requirements
of TR ST 001/2011 "On the safety of railway rolling
stock" for new products such as solid-rolled wheels with
a curved disc made of steel for innovative freight cars,
the press service of the plant reports.
Specialists of the R&D (Research and Development)
Department of Prommashkomplekt have developed
a production technology from designing a new wheel
structure and determining the chemical composition of
the metal to testing the finished product. The advantages
of the new wheel design are high operational
characteristics and increased axial load
- up to 27 tons. This makes it possible to
increase the guaranteed turnaround time,
respectively, the service life of the
wheels and the turnover of goods by
rail.
