Patient Exercise Room
The Need
The success of rehabilitation depends to a great extent on the
number of times patients repeat particular exercises. For this
reason, patients should be able to do their exercises even after
the regular working hours of the relevant staff. Moreover, starting
exercises in the department during hospitalization raises the
probability that patients will continue to do them at home, which
in turn significantly increases the chances of success of the entire
process.
The Project
In this room, rehabilitation and occupational therapy services
will be provided using the most up-to-date and innovative
technologies, including robotic devices. It will be accessible even
after the treatment rooms are closed. It will be equipped with a
number of exercise pieces that are easy and safe for patients to
use independently, such as pedal exercisers for arms and legs
and a strength and endurance workout station.
Amount requested for naming the exercise room: $1,000,000
Prominent donor recognition will be provided at the rehabilitation
center.
The donor will be listed on the Soroka Donors’ Wall of Honor.
The donor will be our honored guest at a dignified public dedication
ceremony.
