2.3.8.2. On the Report on Ratings, a grade of 5.0 or 70% should be followed by the remark
“Failed” and the faculty member should be ready to present evidence(s) of the
                                     student’s unsatisfactory performance.

                       2.3.9. Dropping from a Course
Students may be dropped from a course if they have been absent for more than seven (7)
consecutive class meetings. In addition, students may be dropped if they have an accumulated
absence of at least twenty percent (20%) of the total number of class hours (54 hours) in a
semester. Students may be allowed to drop only before the conduct of the Mid-Term
Examination, except in cases found meritorious by the faculty member.

                       Subjects without Laboratory

               5.1.1. Computation of Grades
5.1.1.1. The formula for the computation of grades for the midterm and final grades shall generally
                          be as follows:
                                               Midterm                          =      CS (2) + ME
                                                                                                     3

Tentative Final Grade = CS (2) + FE
                                                                                                    3

Final Grade = TFG (2)+ MG
                                                                                                  3

               Evaluating Student Performance

               • Faculty members should evaluate students’ performance objectively by
                       constructing valid and reliable examinations
               • All test papers should be returned promptly to the students after the test
                       for immediate feedback
               • A new set of questions must be prepared for a special midterm or final
                       examination should this be needed
