3.3.1.2 Maintaining Classroom Discipline
All students, by virtue of their enrollment to the institution, shall adhere to
existing rules and regulations of the University. Every student shall wear
prescribed uniform on the days specified by the University. They shall wear
decent clothes during non-uniform days. They were required to wear their official
school ID before entering the University Premises and at all times inside the
University. Students shall attend classes promptly and regularly.
All students are likewise encouraged to attend and participate in all pertinent
University activities such as Foundation day program, College Day, Recognition
Programs, Student Orientation and the likes.
The student’s right to exercise the freedom to learn that involves freedom from
disciplinary action except through due process. Disciplinary action against a
student should be taken only for violation of institutional standards of behavior
and regulations, which are as clearly defined as possible and which represent a
reasonable degree of control over students.
3.3.1.3 Monitoring student progress
Student attendance during classes are strictly monitored and in terms of its
academic performance, every quizzes and exams are given to students to really
test their capability and monitor their intellectual progress in their subject
matter.
3.3.1.4 Developing responsibility and initiative among students
One way to develop responsibility in their own department is given them the
responsibility of cleanliness in their own lecture rooms and laboratory rooms. In
terms of social responsibility, the students sometimes conduct tutorial method
to the lower years.
Students are also engaged in the conduct of research and extension activity of
the college. For research, they were encouraged to present their research output
with the guidance of some of the faculty member as their Research adviser while
in conducting extension program, students were utilized to be the facilitator
during the conduct of extension activity.
3.3.1.5 Enhancing the Pedagogical skills of the faculty
Faculty members were also encouraged to attend graduate studies, in-service
trainings, and practical trainings in industry and certifications in industry so
that their reaching and learning strategy will be more developed.
