5.5.3. Extreme. Any student who at the end of a semester obtained final grades below “75%” or its
equivalent in 75% or more of the total number of academic units in which he is enrolled shall be
referred to the guidance and counseling center;
5.5.4. A student who at the end of the semester obtains final grades below “75” or its equivalent in 100%
of the total number of academic units in which he is enrolled maybe readmitted unless
recommended by the DSSD and approved by the Campus Director/Vice President for Academic
Affairs;
5.6. Classification of Students
5.6.1. Students shall be classified as either regular or irregular based on the following curricular
requirements:
5.6.1.1. A regular student carries the full load in a given semester in the curriculum in which he is
registered. In determining his status, credits which the student earned in some required
subject will be added to those he is actually taking;
5.6.1.2. An irregular student carries less than the full load called for in a given semester in the
curriculum in which he is registered;
5.6.2. Students may be classified as to curriculum year as follows:
5.6.2.1. Freshman. A student who has not finished the prescribed subjects of his first year or has
completed 25% of the total number of units required in his/her course.
5.6.2.2. Sophomore. A student who has completed his/her first year course or has finished 26% but
not more than the 50% of the total number of credits required in his/her course.
5.6.2.3. Junior. A student who has completed the first two (2) years of his/her course, or has finished
50% but not more than 75% of the total number of units required in his/her course.
5.6.2.4. Senior. A student who has completed the first three (3) years of his/her curriculum or has
finished 75% but not more than 85% of the total number of units required in his/her course.
Student Transferees
5.6.3. Transferees
5.6.3.1. Transferee students in the undergraduate program shall comply with the following requirements
for admission:
5.6.3.1.1. Duly accomplished application form for admission;
5.6.3.1.2. Average grade required by the University where the student wants to enroll;
5.6.3.1.3. Certified true copy of TOR or certification of subjects to be validated/accredited;
5.6.3.1.4. Certificate of good moral character;
5.6.3.1.5. Medical certificate
5.6.3.1.6. Transfer credentials from the school last attended.
5.6.3.2. Transferees from SUCs shall be admitted and treated as regular students in accordance with
existing policies of the University.
5.6.3.2.1. 2 copies latest I.D picture (2x2)
5.6.3.2.2. Entrance test result for courses that require an entrance test.
5.6.4. Foreign students
5.6.4.1. In addition to the TOR, foreign students shall be required to pass the proficiency examination in
English to be conducted by the Guidance Office or a test in English as a foreign Language (TOFEL)
conducted by the accredited agency.
5.6.4.2. Application of all foreign students shall be processed in accordance with DECS Order No. 27, s.
1978.
5.7. Advanced Credits/Accreditation of Units Earned
5.7.1. A transferee from a recognized college/university shall be given equivalent credits if the subjects
he has earned from that school apply to any of the university curricula; provided that he meets
the following regulations on accreditation;
5.7.1.1. Subjects taken in State Colleges and Universities shall be validated; provided that the course
descriptions and the number of units of the said subjects are the same as those offered in
the University;
5.7.1.2. There shall be no invalidation of courses of foreign students taken in their home countries,
provided that the course descriptions and the number of units of said subjects are the same
as those offered in the University;
