MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF

I am extremely delighted to know that the 5th publication of ‘Navy Journal 2019’
is going to be published. I believe this is engraved with immaculate thoughts and
ideas of the inquisitive writers and focused with the objective of appraising all
about issues in maritime domain. I would like to express my warm greetings and
felicitations on the unique publication beckoning the aspiring pursuit of pride and
excellence of our ingenious professionals of Bangladesh Navy.
Navy Journal epitomizes various research works of the professionals envisaging
BN towards building a capable navy in its way ahead with modern technology.
The advancement of BN has therefore been fast but steady and it aims at
implementing the dream of the Father of the Nation to shape Bangladesh Navy
into a balanced three dimensional force. Resourceful professionals by dint of their
prudence and intellectual pursuit of philosophical insight into the research and
utmost dedication to the service have truly contributed to BN to its today’s stance.
Inspired by the motto ‘In War and Peace Invincible at Sea’, Bangladesh Navy has
been swiftly moving forward with its enhanced capabilities to withstand the
challenges of 21st century to carry out its vested role. The intrepid naval
personnel dedicate themselves for safeguarding the vast sea area against threats
and strive in all respect to contribute towards socio-economic development of the
country. I can confidently say that excellence and professionalism of Bangladesh
Navy has been usually exhibited at home and abroad with admiration. This is also
specially recognized and appreciated in the United Nations Peacekeeping
Missions across the globe for unique contribution in maintaining world peace.
Write-ups included in this journal are actually the expression of philosophy on
the diversified vision in respective domain of our scrupulous writers. I believe
they have unveiled their inner self and professional excellence and prolific
thoughts beyond any doubt through their articles. Research is a highly committed
undertaking indeed and I have no hesitation to say that this Journal will speak
volume of the laborious effort and genuine commitment of all facilitating the
writers in penning down ideas about the modernization of the naval force for a
common goal of national interest at the respective end.
I would wholeheartedly thank and appreciate the initiative of publishing this
Journal in its completeness and congratulate all the writers for their painstaking
effort in furnishing the journal with innovativeness. On this opportune moment, I
feel urged to convey my sincere gratitude to the editorial board and all the hands
who have put forwarded their efforts directly and indirectly for the successful
publication of Navy Journal 2019.
